Privacy Policy

How EduConnect handles information shared by international educators, schools, and people using our platform.

Effective October 31, 2026

We take the privacy of our educators and school partners seriously. Because EduConnect is a professional marketplace, some information you choose to include in your profile is intended to be shared with potential employers. The sections below explain that distinction.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

EduConnect is an international teacher-hiring marketplace operated by The Pedagogy Institute TPI LLC (referred to here as “EduConnect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The platform helps educators develop professional profiles and connect with schools, and helps schools discover and engage teaching candidates.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit educonnect.pedagogyinstitute.com, create an account, use our services, or communicate with us. It applies to teachers, school representatives, visitors, and other people who interact with EduConnect.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the platform. It may include:

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, login identifiers, account role, and information you provide when contacting our team.
  • Teacher and professional information: résumé or CV, qualifications, teaching experience, subjects, certifications, education, preferred locations, professional photo, introduction video, work-authorization or visa-pathway preferences, and other profile materials.
  • School and hiring information: school or district name, work contact information, positions, job descriptions, hiring preferences, shortlists, interview invitations, hiring decisions, and offer documents.
  • Platform interactions: applications, messages, interview scheduling details, responses to invitations, submitted documents, and other activity you choose to carry out.
  • Membership and transaction information: plan selections, order history, invoice or transaction identifiers, and payment status. Payment details may be collected directly by a third-party payment processor.
  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from IP, cookies or similar technologies, diagnostic logs, and usage information.

3. Where information comes from

We receive information directly from you, from schools or other users who communicate with you through EduConnect, and from connected services you choose to use, such as Google sign-in or calendar integrations. Where permitted, we may also use professional or publicly available information to support school outreach and candidate connections.

Please provide information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share. Do not upload sensitive information about other people unless you have the necessary authority to do so.

4. How we use information

We use personal information as reasonably necessary to operate and improve EduConnect, including to:

  • Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and provide customer support.
  • Build, display, and market teacher profiles to relevant schools and facilitate school searches and direct outreach.
  • Support applications, shortlists, messaging, virtual interviews, offer communications, and other hiring interactions.
  • Administer memberships, purchases, requested services, and transactional notices.
  • Send relevant opportunity alerts, platform updates, and marketing communications, subject to your settings and applicable law.
  • Maintain platform security, investigate misuse, troubleshoot issues, analyze performance, and comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law, we rely on an applicable legal basis, such as providing the service you request, your consent, compliance with legal duties, or our legitimate interests balanced against your rights.

5. Profile visibility and information sharing

EduConnect is designed to connect people. If you create a teacher profile and make it available through the marketplace, professional information in that profile may be viewed by eligible school users according to the platform’s access and visibility controls. Profile information may also be included in outreach to prospective school employers when that is part of the services you use.

If you apply for a role, communicate with a school, accept an interview, or respond to an offer, information relevant to that interaction may be disclosed to the school or its authorized representatives. Schools independently determine their own hiring and data-handling practices.

School representatives should only submit information they are authorized to share. Information you choose to disclose directly to another user may remain in that recipient’s records even if you later change your own profile settings.

6. Service providers and other disclosures

We use service providers to help operate the platform, including hosting and application infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, scheduling and video meetings, analytics, customer support, and payment processing. Depending on the feature, these may include Base44, Google, and payment or communications providers. They process information in connection with the services they provide.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or support a legitimate business transaction such as a reorganization or transfer of operations.

We do not operate EduConnect as a personal-data brokerage. Marketplace access and profile marketing are central features of the service and are described above; they should not be confused with unrestricted public distribution of your information.

7. Payments and third-party services

Subscriptions and paid services may be processed by third-party payment providers. We receive information needed to manage an order or membership, such as payment status and transaction references; full payment-card information is generally handled by the payment provider rather than stored in EduConnect’s application records.

When you choose to sign in through Google or use a third-party meeting, scheduling, or payment service, that provider may separately process information under its own privacy terms. Links to outside websites are governed by the policies of those websites.

8. Cookies and analytics

EduConnect and its infrastructure providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, preferences, performance, security, and analytics. Some services may set their own cookies when you use integrations or embedded features.

You can manage cookies through your browser controls, although blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or certain platform features from working.

9. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform and requested services, manage legitimate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet applicable legal requirements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and purpose for which it was collected.

We use administrative and technical measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect an account-security problem.

10. International users

EduConnect connects educators and schools across borders. Information may be accessed, processed, or stored in the United States or other countries in which we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Where required, we take steps appropriate to applicable cross-border transfer requirements.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict particular uses. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

You can update available profile details and notification preferences in your account. You may opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe instructions where provided; essential account and transaction notices may still be sent.

To submit a privacy request, contact us at support@pedagogyinstitute.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain certain records when required or permitted by law. Changes to your EduConnect profile do not automatically remove information previously shared with third-party schools or recipients.

12. Children’s privacy

EduConnect is a professional hiring service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children for account registration. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the platform without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the situation.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, our practices, or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page with a new effective date, and provide additional notice where required by law.
